There has been significant community interest in the imminent changes coming into effect on 1 July 2019. Particularly the minimum age to play paintball in NSW reducing to 12 years old.

After 10 long years of lobbying, the date has finally officially been set for the minimum age reduction in NSW. As of 1 July 2019, players from 12 years plus will be able to enjoy the fun, exhilaration and team atmosphere paintball provides.
Birthday parties will never be the same now the bar has been raised; end-of-season sporting events; school sports. Kids all over NSW are champing at the bit to show what they can do on a paintball field.

BREAKING NEWS coming out of NSW Parliament with new paintball legislation being passed this week. Delta Force Paintball and other members of the NSW paintball community welcome this sensible reform and are excited about regulations developed specifically for paintball. Matching the public expectation, state law will now recognise paintball for what it is – a sport and a game. Paintball markers will no longer be classed as a Prohibited Firearm and rather a “Sporting Device”.
The new regulations include a minimum age reduction to 12 years old. NSW aligning their regulations with other states and countries around the world is a big step forward for the sport. With minimum ages mostly around the 10-12 years old mark, the impeccable safety record in these markets was a key factor in developing the new regulations.
Paintball industry representatives including Delta Force Paintball support the strict restrictions that accompany the changes. We are committed to community safety and welcome stringent regulations and significant punishments regarding breaches.

The NSW Blues Cricket Squad traded their whites and wide brim hats on Thursday – when they continued their pre-season training at the local paintball field.
The elite cricketers welcomed the idea of mixing up their pre-season schedule and took to paintball with an expected competitive spirit.
“It was great fun” said Test star Trent Copeland. “All the boys had a good crack. I am 6 ft 5 and find it hard to crouch down. So I was definitely the main target out there”
Tropic Thunder was a favourite for the squad with its combative style and 30 ft stone pyramid. A mad dash for the ancient artefact almost came off for the Orange team almost securing the enemy base. Either way they still came away with a hard-fought 47-39 victory over the Blue team and bragging rights until their next visit to Delta Force.
“The NSW Blues Cricket team have been down a few times before. They just love getting out at throwing themselves into the fun of Paintball” said Rebecca Power, Delta Force Operations Manager. “They are a great bunch of lads and we love having them down”.
