Paintball 101: What to wear to paintball

January 8, 2017 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

So what do I wear to paintball?

What to wear to paintballIt’s a question everyone hates to ask, but I get it. You’re about to spend your day commando-rolling, running, and dodging paintballs, and the last thing you want to do is be uncomfortable. You need to focus on beating the enemy, not your pants!

I’ve got you covered! Here’s a basic list of what we recommend all our paintball warriors wear to our centres. Of course we will kit you out in the best safety gear, but it’s always best to be prepared!

  • Pants that you can run in. Remember, you are going to spend your day crouching, staying low and running! So we recommend wearing pants that allow for a wide range of movement.
  • Supportive shoes. Here at Delta Force we play rain, hail or shine, so we recommend wearing shoes that have strong ankle support. Just remember that they may get dirty with all the action, so we don’t recommend wearing your new white joggers!
  • T-shirt and possibly a light hoodie. If you’re looking for maximum protection on the field, wearing a light hoodie underneath the suit we give you will give you added protection from the sting of the bullets!

So there you have it! Not so stressful now, huh?

I’ll be sharing some helpful tips and hints over the next few months that will see you go from paintball newbie to paintball pro in no time at all!

Delta Force HQ’s 2016 Christmas Party

December 21, 2016 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

Yep, it’s that time of year folks… Offices small and large are having their annual Christmas party.

Just the words “Christmas Party” can stir up feelings of dread, excitement, and honestly, a little bit of fear. Oh, and embarrassment, let’s not forget what happened last year… Organisers run through all the possible scenarios in the pursuit of the perfect day. What if there’s not enough food? What if Sam from sales gets drunk again? Is the Santa costume too much? And Secret Santa. Don’t even get me started on the stress of Secret Santa.

This year at Delta Force HQ we did something a little different. We enjoyed a delicious lunch (there was definitely enough food). And then we entered the car park (not the most glamorous of venues, we’ll admit), feeling curious and excited. It’s a tradition at HQ that the day is a complete surprise, so it was a mystery. We were ready for the challenge, whatever it was.

There on the ground sat a boxed bike, a helmet, a toolkit and a bag of what can only be described as Duplo on steroids. It was simple, beat or be beaten. we had to work as a team to achieve victory. We were split into our teams (signified by some beautiful coloured caps),
and experienced a team building marathon like no other.

We all learnt a few things that day.

1. Justin can rap like no other, and has dance moves that rival Michael Jackson.
2. Terry is a master of Jenga with cat-like reflexes that we’d never seen before.
3. Sharon likes to win (we already knew that, but we think it’s worth mentioning).

As the day drew to a close, we started our final challenge- building the bikes.

Team vs. team, we struggled to build the bikes as quickly as possible.
There was some stealing of tools, but a little bit of sabotage never hurt anyone.

Our bikes were certified as safe to ride.

And then it was over.

But not quite.

The sweaty, satisfied  Delta Force HQ crew were in for a surprise.

The bikes we had just built were not for our own childlike amusement. Rather, these special bikes would be given to children in need. Children in our own backyard. These children were from homes affected by alcohol and drug abuse. They have endured experiences that many of us will never know. Family friends, aunties and more often than not their aging grandparents were charged with raising them. A special group called the Mirabel Foundation works with these children, to support and guide them as they grow up. They work tirelessly to provide these children with a normal, happy childhood, and that’s what the bikes were for.

Because every child deserves a bike.

We watched the kids come one by one to pick up their bikes, our awesome staff helping them to ride around our car park. They were shy at first, but after a helping hand and a smile they were grinning and racing around in no time.

It’s not often you get to experience that kind of innocent joy.

This Christmas is going to be a little more special for us here at Delta Force HQ. It’s not often you really step back to think about how lucky you truly are. We can take for granted our loving family and friends. Many of these children can’t. But hopefully a few of these children will have a brighter Christmas this year, and that’s enough to keep us smiling.

We can’t wait for our Christmas party next year, though I’m not quite sure how it will possibly beat this year’s.

Have a Merry Christmas, from the Delta Force Paintball Crew.

International Paintball Group and Delta Force

December 13, 2016 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

When you think Delta Force, you think quality.

deeputhomaschristchurch

Delta Force Paintball was born out of the idea that paintball can be an experience that is high quality and professional. We’ve been growing ever since.

Long gone are the days where a good paintball field had an old car and a few stacked tyres. Delta Force has upped the game across the globe, with our fields that feature full scale black hawk helicopters, and 30ft pyramids. Our game zones are unlike any others, and we offer an experience that can be enjoyed by people of all ages.

There was just one problem: how do we introduce this great game of paintball to the community? There’s only so much advertising you can do, and in the world of ad blockers, it’s hard to get your name in front of people.

So the International Paintball Group (IPG) stepped in to help.

IPG has helped Delta Force Paintball to grow as a business.

After joining forces with IPG, Delta Force has grown exponentially. Our partnership has lead to thousands of new customers entering our doors, and entering the amazing world of paintball.

how to have a great day at paintball

By becoming partners with IPG we are guaranteed customers will hear about our business, and after they have an amazing experience with IPG and Delta Force, those first time customers often become life time paintball warriors.

We wouldn’t have these paintball warriors if it weren’t for IPG.

In our close partnership with IPG, we have seen the way their dedicated staff strives to offer the best value deals to their customers. The IPG sales team are passionate about providing their customers with all the information about their day, and their event coordinators help the customers organise and plan their day of paintball.

Once the customers are at our fields, it’s our turn to impress them. Whether they’re impressed by our amazing marshals, our emphasis on safety or our impressive game zones, we guarantee a day that will be unforgettable.

With IPG we can guarantee more paintball warriors will join our ranks.

Tropic Thunder Comes to Muchea!

November 7, 2016 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

Ben Stiller and Jack Black lovers look out; Tropic Thunder has arrived in Muchea. Grab your paintball markers and get ready to fight the Flaming Dragons.

Delta Force Paintball has announced the latest addition to their paintball field in Muchea, in time for the approaching school holidays.

‘Tropic Thunder’ is a game zone based on the famous Hollywood film. Players will get to experience a truly immersive paintballing experience by playing across sniper towers, armoured tanks, village huts and prison compound during their session. This game zone is the latest addition to the site, which nearly perished in the 2015 bushfires.

Tropic Thunder

National Operations Manager Seamus Fraser says, “Tropic Thunder is a favourite game zone amongst our players across the country. We’re excited to bring it to our Muchea fields and let our customers have a chance to test their skills on the sniper tower”.

Delta Force Paintball is known for their extensive game zones across the world. Their Muchea paintball field is now home to the site where Kirk and Jeff try to save Tugg from the gang. Muchea now has six different game zones, including Delta Force’s signature Tomb Raider game zone, which includes a 30ft pyramid.

This new addition to the centre comes just in time for the school holidays, one of the centre’s busiest times of the year.

Tropic Thunder

Delta Force Paintball has over fifty centres across the world, and is known as the world’s trusted paintball provider. They have a five star accreditation from the Australasian Paintball Association and their centres have a 100% safety record.

Delta Force Paintball Welcomes Fox Footy Stars

April 29, 2016 by Delta Force Paintball Australia

Delta Force Paintball has once again played host to a nationally broadcast sports program in Fox Footy’s Bounce. Combatants Barry Hall, Jason Dunstall, Danny Frawley and Cameron Mooney were pitted against each other in a series of challenges throughout the immersive paintball experience Delta Force has on offer.

The tough-as-nails team of Barry Hall and Danny Frawley combined seamlessly to ensure victory would be theirs. A truly selfless moment from Frawley allowed Big Bad Barry to capture the flag and relegated losers Mooney and Dunstall to a run along the infamous gauntlet.

Delta Force has well and truly been stamped as the trusted paintball provider worldwide. Having previously hosted Fox Sports’ Matty John’s Show, Usain Bolt, Disney, The Block and a host of elite sporting clubs like Melbourne Storm, Parramatta Eels, Queensland Reds, North Melbourne Kangaroos, Arsenal FC, Liverpool FC and Manchester United.

Tune into Fox Footy Channel 504 at 7:30pm this Sunday to see how the challenge unfolded. No former AFL stars were harmed in the filming of this segment.

Please note: Filming occurred in a controlled and safe environment. At times, for the purposes of the shoot, participants were required to remove their safety goggles. In such instances Delta Force fully trained and qualified marshals were on hand to verify the paintball markers were empty, the safety catches were engaged and the weapons were de-cocked and unable to fire. Delta Force takes the safety of all patrons with the utmost precaution.
